Hands
1 Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome,
the great King over all the earth. Psalm 47:1-2
How many of you sit around when you are listening to some music and want to tap your foot or maybe even clap your hands. Or maybe you are at church and feel the spirit and begin to clap your hands while the music is playing, but you don't want people to see how into it you are so you keep everything close to vest and don't clap too loud. I know some loud clappers and some soft clappers, and I even know some non-clappers. God gave us hands for many things, but the most important thing He gave them for was to use them for good works. Whether that be through your daily work of your hands or whether it be that special touch of kindness you provide, use your hands in a way that would honor God. Then don't forget to clap your hands, whether it is loud or soft or somewhere in-between, God wants to hear your joy.
Have a great weekend.

Fantastic Friday #690 - Voice
Voice
2 Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:2-3
Do you listen for a voice to guide you and teach you Voices are all around you, some are good but some try to lead us away from the Lord and the path we should follow. When you wake up in the morning do you turn your voice to the Lord, or do you stay silent forgetting to acknowledge God and what He has done for you and what He has yet to do. God wants to hear our voice and He wants us to speak with Him. It doesn't always have to be a cry for help, but a thoughtful and thankful heart that prepares you for the day. Remember as you go throughout your day there is a also a still small voice that guides you and keeps you from straying off the path. Don't let the voices of many cover the voice of our one true guide.
Have a great weekend.

Fantastic Friday #689 - Stone
Stone
4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5
Seeing the damage an earthquake can cause is quite interesting, the movement of rock and earth and seeing how the ground shakes back and forth, there is great power there. Every time I read a scripture dealing with stones being built up I ask myself, how sturdy are stones. If you look at buildings that are built with stones compared to wood or another less sturdy material, the stones are typically standing after a major event. Think about a tornado tearing apart a wood structure home, at times only the chimney, built out of stone, is still standing. God is our stone and He is stronger than anything that can shake us, and believe me, I have been shaken recently. Each time I am shaken, I lean into that Rock that provides me comfort and guidance. Don't forget about the stone that is strong and can do anything. He is your fortress and your very strong reward, you just need to have faith to allow Him to do His work.
Have a great weekend.

Fantastic Friday #688 - Healing
Healing
17 He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, 18 who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, 19 and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
20 Looking at his disciples, he said:“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Luke 6:17-20
When you look at Jesus' time on earth, you can see the healing power He had for many people. You can also read in the Bible about how his disciples were healing others as well. This healing was made possible through Christ and not through anyone else's power. Today there can be that same healing power through God and through prayer. We need to remember that we cannot change God's plan for us, but if we are prayerful and faithful God can heal anyone. We need to remember to thank God for what He has given us and look for that healing power from Him. This healing power is not just for illness, but can be a spiritual healing as well. There are many of us that can go through times of weakness or questioning our spiritual path when things aren't going our way or someone we love is sick. If we can remember that God can heal all, it can help us through those difficult times.
Have a great weekend.
