Reaching
14 because we know that the
one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with
Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All
this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and
more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:14-16
Do you find yourself reaching for answers,
reaching for belief or reaching for faith and yet some of those things
just seem to you to be slightly out of your reach? Maybe we are looking
at these kinds of things from the wrong perspective. We are always
told that when we need God the most, we need to reach out to Him through
prayer and thanksgiving and through submission to Him. This is all very
true and we should be doing this daily and when we are in need, but are
we truly receiving what God has to give us? Are we allowing God to
"reach" out to us by submitting to His authority, or are we too stuck in
what we have to "do" to achieve His Grace. The funny thing is we don't
have to do anything to achieve the Grace He freely offers, we just have
to accept Him. So after we "reach" out to Him with our requests, how
about sitting back and letting Him "reach" us with His will, which will
give us answers and strengthen our belief and faith in Him.
Have a great weekend.
