Fantastic Friday #503 - First

First

2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:2-3

For the first time in over nine years I missed a Friday. Now, you might not think that is a big deal to miss a Fantastic Friday, but when I committed so many years ago to my friend Kevin to begin writing these, he reminded me that I should first remember why I am doing this. I am not doing this for my benefit every Friday, although I have learned some things by listening to the Lord. When writing I take the time highlighting something in God's Word that I hope will make a difference in someone's life. I am not sure what impact this has had all these Fridays, but I do know one thing, God's Word first is the chief importance in our lives. While God had me deeply entrenched in my family these last several days, He once again showed me how important the reason for sending His son. We do not know how long we are on this earth, but I do know that my family is first after God and we should all remember this spend time focusing on both.
