5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 2 Corinthians 5:5-9
Do you find yourself being a different person at work, around friends or at home? Do you put on a show for everyone around you that is different than who you actually are as an individual? It is interesting that God created and fashioned us for a purpose. He has given those who believe in Him the Holy Spirit to be guided. So what happens to us who ignore the Spirit and the guidance we receive? We all have flesh and can become weak when the enemy constantly tries to tell us who we aren't. If we listen to that voice enough, it can drown out the Spirit that lives within us. That Spirit is always there, but can ignored by us which is a huge issue. God wants us to please Him and live by faith and not by what is directly in front of us. So, if we are living by Faith, then we don't need to be someone we are not, and we need to let the Spirit guide us regularly. Be home in your body and please Him.
Have a great weekend.
